Handcrafted Mother's Day Gifts

Happy Spring, Sugars! I had so much fun connecting with handmade artisans for my baby shower gifts round-up, I wanted to continue sharing the love. Join me as I share some of my fave Mother’s Day gift ideas any woman in your life would be over-the-moon thrilled to receive on her special day (hint: honey, I hope you are reading this post!).  Don’t forget shopping for all the other mothers in our lives too: step-mothers, grandmothers, and fur mamas.

Without any further adieu, here are some of my handpicked gifts.  These are in no particular order, and I am not affiliated with these shops—just a fan sharing the love!

I Donut Care Mug

Liv & Fi Boutique

Sara in Washington, Pennsylvania

I don’t know about your mom, but my mama LOVES her coffee!  When I saw this adorable mug from Sara’s shop, I knew I had to add it to this list. Designed using a sublimation technique, these are made to be dishwasher and microwave safe (bonus points here!  She’s a girl after my own heart since she knows I heat up my cold coffee most days, and don’t have time for hand-washing!). These come in two sizes for those days when a small coffee just won’t do.  Listen, I donut care about much until I have had my coffee. Now if I could just get her to include some donuts with our order. . .

Best Mom Ever Cake Topper

Sugar Crush Co

Quinn in Wasaga Beach, Ontario (that’s me, if you didn’t know!)

You know you have the best mom ever, why not show her with this sparkly cake topper. It looks a-dough-able atop a tower of donuts (okay, too many donut puns?), a special cake, or even a stack of delicious homemade pancakes dripping with warm syrup for a breakfast in bed! Just don’t forget her coffee. Choose Mom’s favourite color, for a customized high-quality cardstock piece just for her. Make sure you celebrate your love for Mom every day, and not just Mother’s Day!

Mama Bear Tee

Juliet Rose Boutique

Julie in Albuquerque, New Mexico

You know those days you just want to snuggle into that comfy oversized shirt but still feel gorgeous as you camp out on the couch in your leggings (wait, when does that happen??)  Well, I have found the *perfect* tee!  Julie has designed this stylish and incredibly soft floral mama bear t-shirt.  These beautiful soft pastel colors and the feminine design speak to the brand she has created making women feel beautiful – and I love that!  She has chosen a super soft blended fabric that I literally never want to take off, and the sublimation process she uses makes this design permanent and easy to care for!

Floral Door Wreath

Be Wreathed NYC

Natalie in New York, NY

I love the idea of a gorgeous wreath for Mother’s Day! It’s such a beautiful welcome home. The circular shape represents eternity, just like a mother’s love (and her work day!). Flowers can be personalized to her favorite blooms or to match the season. And Natalie does such a fantastic job creating a variety of unique designs with florals, grapevines, and boxwoods. And she doesn’t stop there. Also check her out for mason jar and wooden pallet centerpiece decor!

There’s Like a Lot of Kids in Here Doormat

Emmilou Deisgn Co

Amanda in Marietta, Georgia

Some days, the chaos is so crazy, you just feel the need to warn others about it. Amanda of Emmilou Design Co has come up with the *best* solution – a witty message to let others know exactly what to expect inside! This personalized doormat just brought a smile to my face, and I think it’s so nicely done as well hand-painted and sealed on 100% coir (that’s coconut fibers – so it’s totally sustainable too!)  If you're shopping for someone else who may not want this cute little caution, Amanda is happy to offer custom designs and sizes as well!

Chaos Coordinator Shirt

Inspire Me Boutique

Andrea in Houston, Texas

Some days, you just gotta call it like it is, and this Chaos Coordinator tee from Andrea’s shop is just the ticket!  Being a mom of littles, I know first-hand what it takes to be on top of their schedules AND their personalities all day, plus trying to fit everything else in. Thank goodness for this super soft, oversized, poly cotton blend tee.  Perfect for a casual day out, or just relaxing around the house among all the chaos.

Leather Minimalist Wallet

Basked Bags

Robin in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

These handbags and wallets are so beautiful, as is Robin’s story behind her work. When Robin shared this wallet with me, I loved how delicate and pretty it is (and okay, maybe I am partial to the soft blush colour!). I could absolutely envision any mama reaching inside to redeem her gift certificate after a day at the spa. Robin shared with me she designs her work with European minimalistic styling in mind, and is sure to hold specific intentions of gratitude, abundance, beauty as she completes each piece. I can definitely tell!  Isn’t that what hand-crafted gifts for Mother’s Day are all about?

Monogram Travel Mug

Running Frog Studio

Cynthia in Maryville, Tennessee

Cynthia knows what being a mom (or grandmom!) is all about: she is on the go like all of us!  Designing gorgeous gifts, traveling, spending time with family, and running marathons (whew!) – no wonder she has travel coffee mugs on her list!  I thought this monogram mug was simply beautiful with your favorite mama’s initial surrounded by a delicate wreath of flowers. And since it’s a sublimation process, these blooms won’t be fading over time. If initials aren’t quite Mom’s thing, Cynthia has you covered – puppies, unicorns, and llamas, oh my!

My Kids Have Paws Frame

The Scarlett Butterfly

Amanda in Effort, Pennsylvania

I can’t forget about the mamas of fur-kids out there! We all know someone who treats their furbaby like their world – babying them, spoiling them, and doing just about anything to make their little four-legged friends happy. Amanda has created this beautiful frame of hand-rolled paper flowers (can you imagine, she rolls each one of these herself?!) and then artfully arranges them in a frame of your size and colour choice before personalizing it with your favourite message. I can’t think of a better way to say Happy Mother’s Day to all my animal loving moms!

Handmade takes time

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13th here in Canada and the US, but keep in mind, handmade takes time (and so does the post office!), so I wanted to curate this list for you early, so you can get shopping and get your orders placed ASAP! Your mom – and all the special women in your life – do so much for you, don’t wait 'till the last minute and scramble for a last minute gift that screams you almost forgot. Hope you found some goodies you need to have. Be sure to share your own fave Mother’s Day gift ideas with us as well. Thanks for stopping by and for visiting.

Until next time, sweets!
